Cleansing vs. Exfoliating: What's the difference?

What's the difference between cleansing and exfoliating?

Cleansing should be done every day to keep your skin's microbiome healthy. While exfoliating should be done 1-2x a week, to get rid of dead skin cell buildup, and clean deeper into your pores.

Cleansing washes away surface-level dirt, and clogged pores, Skin cleanser is formulated to be gentle enough on the more sensitive skin of your face while also lifting away sebum (a dirty and oily skin solution naturally secreted throughout the day), dirt and debris.

Exfoliating goes deeper into the skin to remove dead skin cells and unclog pores. It scrubs away the topmost layer of your skin, along with any nearby or harder dirt and debris like blackheads. It also regulates oil production to reveal healthier, smoother skin.
